The meeting was called to order at 6:30 a.m.

 

Mitch corrected the February meeting minutes stating that the budget was approved at the January meeting.

 

Old Business

 

Bike Swap – flyers are being printed. Two new cash registers have been purchased. Someone needs to ask Barb Pontrelli to oversee operations. Kris gave out a contact sheet of bike shops where the flyers will be given out. The list complements Paula’s list which is used to distribute brochures. Key position signups – Dave M. is expecting many of the same volunteers from last year to fill the same positions this year. Dave will be contacting bike stores to confirm their participation. Chris will rent a tent.

 

Arlington 500. Mailing will be sent to about 358 participants from last year only. Gary is handling email distribution. Scott will also distribute to the Park Ridge bike group. Don asked for approval to purchase wrist bands to identify paid riders. Approval was given for 1000 bands with www.cyclearlington.com printed on them. Insurance. West Bend Insurance will underwrite the club and Arlington 500. Porta-potties have been arranged for. Volunteers are signing up. Van Dornicks are coordinating food.

 

Mitch motioned that the club again participate in the 4th of July Parade. The Board approved. Don will be the event coordinator.

 

Membership: 70 families have paid dues. Paula will send out an email reminder.

 

Treasurer. Mitch has issued donations to various organizations as agreed at the January meeting totaling $1200.
